Basically, don’t expect this to last over the next couple of updates to iOS 8, but we’ll probably see a similar glitch surface again in the future.

Keep in mind, it’s possible that Apple will patch this in a future update to iOS, but similar glitches have appeared throughout iOS revisions since iOS 7. At this point in time, using folders is the only method of organization available with iOS. Hopefully this little glitch/tip was helpful. This will return the home screen layout to a stock configuration, but it will not delete any data from your device.
